We are pleased to inform you that today at MESTI (Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation) the inaugural meeting for Hour of Code and Bebras Computing Challenge 2023 was held. This initiative represents an important step forward for computer education in our country, reinforce the collective commitment to equip young minds with the digital skills needed for the 21st century.

The focus of the discussion was about the “Bebras Computing Challenge”: it is an international challenge dedicated to promoting algorithmic and computational thinking among students aged 8-18 years.

During Hour of Coding Week, partner institutions and educational centers will organize a series of coding courses, presentations and information sessions. These events will cover a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from coding and AI (artificial intelligence) to the multi-faceted field of computer science.

With the Bebras Computing Challenge 2023 and the Hour of Code, we are aiming to give our young people the digital skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century. This is a team effort to shape a better future for our country by preparing our future technology leaders.
