About this SIG
SIG Women in ICT aims to support women in improving their technical and leadership skills.
In Kosovo, women continue to be under-represented in ICT study programs and ICT professions as well as in leadership positions in enterprises, in relation to their percentage in the population.
Therefore, the equal representation of women and men in ICT professions and in managerial / decision-making positions is one of the goals of SHPIK.
Networking of young women with experienced leaders, who provide counseling, mentoring and coaching in a supportive and social environment will be an integral part of the mission of SHPIK.
Scope of work
Women in ICT will support the networking and empowerment of women in advancing their technical and leadership skills. This will be achieved through the provision of training, mentoring and various networking events.
SHPIK services will include a large number of activities, in which SHPIK members will be able to:
- Expand their network
- Promote themself
- Acquire new knowledge and skills from various technical and managerial fields
- Participate in technical, managerial, and professional trainings
- Enroll in mentoring programs
- Get technical and financial support for the realization of their entrepreneurial ideas.
SHPIK will organize a mentoring program every year, with 1-1 matching, between beneficiaries of the mentoring service and mentors with excellent local and international reputation.
Services
The services of the Women in ICT SIG will be designed in accordance with the needs and requirements of SHPIK members.
Among other things, within the framework of these services and in cooperation with the training centers (partners of SHPIK), training in the following areas will be offered:

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee of the SIG "EdTech" is composed of members of this SIG, who wish, through their voluntary commitment to contribute to the realization of the objectives and mission of this SIG.
The SIG Steering Committee is expected to meet on a weekly basis to provide direction to the SIG.

The SIG Steering Committee is expected to meet on a weekly basis to provide SIG leadership and budget planning.
The operational responsibility of the tasks of the SIG rests with the leadership team and the administration of SHPIK.
