The Hour of Code begins with a visit to the “Yll Morina” school in Gjakova
SHPIK marked the beginning of the Hour of Code with an inspiring visit to the “Yll Morina” school in Gjakova. This activity aimed to promote technological and coding skills among students in schools across Kosovo.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of Kosovo, Mr. Arsim Ademi, and the Director of Education in the Municipality of Gjakova, Mrs. Eranda Kumnova Baçi, who were welcomed by the Principal of “Yll Morina” school, Mr. Berat Bejtullahu, and his staff.
A special moment was the presentation by the 9th-grade students, led by teacher Aida Stublla, who demonstrated an interactive coding activity. These activities reflected the enthusiasm and creative skills of the youth in exploring the world of technology.
SHPIK is committed to supporting schools in Kosovo by providing professional training for teachers in the field of computer science and bringing the Code.org curriculum to the Albanian language. Our goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills that will be essential for their success in an increasingly digital world.
The visit marked the beginning of a series of activities that will take place during the Hour of Code from December 9-13, 2023, aimed at fostering interest in technology and coding in our schools.
