About Awards

The SHPIK Awards will set the performance benchmark in IT, recognizing exceptional people, projects and technology innovation. SHPIK will award an individual and an organization with the coveted SHPIK Distinguished Achievement Award in recognition of really extraordinary accomplishments or achievements as submitted by peers.

This Service will help advance the good practices in ICT and honor and promote individual- as well as teamwork.

Following Awarding Categories will be established from 2022 onwards:

Readers Choice Awards for the best article published in SHPIK

The nominations for this category will open on September 2023. Nominations will be accepted for articles published in magazines, journals, knowledge base, books, podcasts, etc.

Organizational Excellence

In the Organizational Excellence Award we want to honor the companies that have excelled in their fields during the last 12 months. The awards aim to recognize companies that have contributed to the creation and implementation of innovative IT solutions that improve corporate operations or public services. IT providers can nominate their clients or themselves, as well as enterprises, governmental bodies, and people who want to recognize their own organizations' contributions. When IT vendors nominate their clients, they should make sure they have their permission and, preferably, a customer representative on the presentation team. This category's prizes will be assessed on various important criteria, which are to be defined by the community on transparent voting process. The initial proposal of voting criteria’s will be proposed by SHPIK’s Sekretariat and SHPIK’s community can add additional and upvote or downvote the criteria’s, until five final criteria’s are chosen. In the field of Organizational Excellence Award, following prices will be proposed by SHPIK’s Sekretariat to SHPIK’s community, who can approve or propose additional ones:

  • Best Place to Work in IT / Employer of the Year 2022 in Kosovo
  • Development Team of the Year
  • Services Company of the Year
Personal Excellence

In the Personal Excellence Awards Category we want to honour IT professionals for exhibiting proficiency and excellence during the last 12 months. Individuals at all levels of an organization who have contributed to the creation and deployment of innovative IT systems that improve commercial operations or improve public services will be eligible for the prizes. In the field of Personal Excellence Award category, following nominations will be accepted:

  • CIO of the Year
  • DevOps Engineer of the Year
  • Digital Leader
  • Inspirational Individual of the Year
  • IT Apprentice of the Year
  • IT Services and Support Professional of the Year
  • Rising Star of the Year
Project Excellence

This Category will honour organizations and / or project teams who have exhibited high levels of IT professionalism while achieving extraordinary results via great project implementation. In the field of Project Excellence Award category, following nominations will be open from September 2022:

  • Best Charity IT Project of the Year
  • Best Public Sector IT Project of the Year
  • Best Security IT Project of the Year
  • Best User Engagement Project of the Year
  • Data Science Project of the Year
  • Digital Transformation Project of the Year
Technology Excellence
EdTech Excellence Awards

SHPIK’s Annual EdTech Excellence Awards honour individuals in and around education who excel at integrating technology into their classrooms. The prizes will be presented during the SHPIK’s EdTech Convention in October 2022. In the field of EdTech Excellence Award category, following prices will be proposed by SHPIK’s Sekretariat to SHPIK’s community, who can approve or propose additional ones:

  • EdTech author / speaker or podcaster of the Year
  • EdTech School Leader of the Year
  • The EdTech Trendsetter Award (edtech company setting a trend, educator setting a trend, leader setting a trend, product or service setting a trend, school leader setting a trend)
  • Technology Educator Award
  • Outstanding new Teacher of the Year
Best Innovation of the Year
Best Design of the Year

Nominees and winners of each category will receive following benefits

  • An acknowledgement in a news release from the SHPIK
  • On the SHPIK website, advanced recognition will be available
  • Acknowledgement during the annual on-site awards ceremony attended by the press
  • Inclusion in the SHPIK’s digital conference program
