3D training and mentoring with expert Dardan Rexha is designed to teach students different skills in this field. Through the training program, Dardan taught students the basics of 3D modeling, including how to use Maya software. It also included advanced techniques such as sculpting, texturing and lighting.
The training program covered the pre-production, production and post-production stages of 3D manufacturing, providing a comprehensive overview of the entire process. Students were able to access the Mayes interface, including an understanding of the 3D viewport and navigation tools. They learned to create a project and workspace in Maya and explore the basics of polygonal modeling using the modeling toolkit. The program covered UV mapping and basic texturing using a UV map.
Students then learned about procedural textures, PBR textures, and materials, including how to create and assign materials using Hypershade. Lighting techniques and types of light sources, as well as camera settings and rendering options.
Students also had the opportunity to learn animation techniques, including setting keyframes and using the Graphics Editor to enhance animation. In addition to technical skills, they learned the importance of creativity and design principles in 3D modeling.
Throughout the training, students had the opportunity to work on a real project, combining all the techniques they had learned into a final product. With Dardan’s guidance and mentorship, they developed the skills and confidence needed to create high-quality 3D visualizations.
